Area 4 Specialist School Coordinators:

Terms of Reference

The Area 4 Specialist School Coordinators Group was formed with a number of key aims and objectives.

Since its formation, members of the group have been working on area-wide approaches to CPD,
innovation, research and collaboration.

The agreed terms of reference for the group are:

1. To serve as a support network for the Directors of Specialism
2. To share strategies and good practice in the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of Specialist School activities.
3. To share and promote action research and innovation as tools for whole school/college
   improvement.
4. To enhance and support current CPD provision within and across the Area 4 Specialist
   Schools and Post-16 Colleges.
5. To feed into the Area 4 Headteacher and Principals group via agendas, minutes and liaison
   between the Chairs of the two groups.
