Area 4 Specialist School Coordinators:
Terms of Reference
The Area 4 Specialist School Coordinators Group was formed with a number of key aims and objectives.
Since its formation, members of the group have been working on area-wide approaches to CPD,
innovation, research and collaboration.
The agreed terms of reference for the group are:
- To serve as a support network for the Directors of Specialism
- To share strategies and good practice in the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of Specialist School activities.
- To share and promote action research and innovation as tools for whole school/college
improvement. - To enhance and support current CPD provision within and across the Area 4 Specialist
Schools and Post-16 Colleges. - To feed into the Area 4 Headteacher and Principals group via agendas, minutes and liaison
between the Chairs of the two groups.
